Southwest Veterans FOUNDATION Announces
Charitable Awards to Veteran Advocacy Organizations
The Southwest Veterans Foundation (SWVF) announced its first quarter 2018 charitable awards to three local Veteran Advocacy Groups. All three recipients are 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations and members of the Southwest Veterans Chamber of Commerce (SWVCC).
Tom Sheets, Executive Director, announced that the SWVF Board of Directors approved three $1,000 awards to:
- Rancho Milagro Foundation
- Veterans Furniture Center
- Team Veteran Foundation
Rancho Milagro Foundation. Rancho Milagro (Ranch of Miracles) is a non-profit, faith-based ministry formulated to bring equine coaching and healing to Veterans and others suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress, other trauma survivors, as well as a place of rest and solitude for the wonderful and gifted people and leaders who work with these survivors on a daily basis. Veterans Furniture Center. The Veterans Furniture Center is a non-profit organization who mission is to assist formerly homeless Veterans transitioning to permanent housing by providing—free of charge—the furniture and household goods they need to make their apartment a home and successfully transition back to society. Team Veteran Foundation. Team Veteran Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a range of services to Veterans and First Responders. Two critical things they do are combat Veteran suicides and provide access to Hyperbaric Chamber Treatment, which is showing great promise in healing horrific injuries and in regenerating brain tissue in those suffering from traumatic brain injuries.
